Regional Director, Sub-Saharan Africa
There is a real hunger for Scripture across Africa, and we believe this creates a wonderful opportunity for the Church to help people move from simply engaging with the Bible to encountering Jesus in the Gospel.
That is why we are excited to launch the all-new Christianity Explored across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Fresh and engaging
“The table discussion among the presenters feels fresh and makes it very engaging, and it's a good start before table discussion in real life. It is also helpful to listen to different points of view from different presenters."

Impacting on my life
“I really enjoyed the course. I liked annotating and writing notes in the booklet, which I found very helpful. Thank you so much for making an impact in my life. I cannot thank you enough, this has been more impactful than any schoolwork or lessons I will ever learn.”

Great Christianity Explored courses don’t happen by accident. These short films unpack the heart behind the course – from creating a warm welcome and making space for honest conversations, to keeping Jesus at the centre of everything we do. Watch them before you run your course and discover how to create an environment where people can explore who Jesus is and what he means for their lives.
Available in multiple languages
Thanks to the work of our partners around the world, our resources have been translated into many different languages which are available for you to use.
Our courses are designed to be relational, clear, and welcoming – creating space for thoughtful discussion, honest questions, and shared discovery
For over 20 years our partners and friends around the world have been faithfully sowing and watering gospel seeds using our courses
In partnership, Christianity Explored’s resources are now used in 142 countries and translated into 70 languages. Be part of this story.
Christianity Explored is a relaxed, welcoming space to explore those questions honestly, in community.
Over seven sessions, you’ll read through Mark’s Gospel – an eyewitness account of the life of Jesus – and consider his question: “Who do you say I am?”
Each week, you’ll watch a short film, open the Bible together, and talk it through in a small group. You don’t need to know anything about the Bible, and you won’t be put on the spot. It’s a space to listen, to ask, and to think at your own pace.
At its heart, Christianity isn’t about rules or religious ideas – it’s about a person. Jesus Christ.
As you explore his life, you’ll discover who he is, why he came, and what that means for us today.
Each session follows a clear rhythm:
Watch these four short films where we unpack the heart behind the course - from creating a warm welcome and making space for honest conversations, to keeping Jesus at the centre of everything we do.

All you need to provide is
Everything is built to keep things clear and accessible – so you can focus on creating a space where people feel at ease, ask real questions, and engage with Jesus for themselves.
Whether your guests are curious, sceptical, or just exploring, Christianity Explored gives you a simple structure to help them take a closer look at the person at the centre of it all.
At the heart of Christianity Explored is a simple invitation: come and meet Jesus in Mark’s Gospel. Who is he? Why did he come? What does it mean to follow him? Christianity Explored has been developed to help people explore these questions through a clear, Gospel-centred and faithful presentation of Scripture.
As we look ahead, our eyes are first and foremost on Jesus, “the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2). Our confidence is in Christ and in the power of his Gospel.
We also believe Africa has a significant part to play in this next chapter. Africa is not simply a recipient of Christian resources. God is raising a generation of African believers, churches and leaders who will take the Gospel to their communities, nations and beyond. We want to see the next generation rooted in Scripture, confident in the Gospel and equipped to live out their identity, mission and call as followers of Jesus.
We desire to see this resource serve the African Church well as we learn from the creativity, leadership and cultures across the continent. That means developing Gospel-centred resources that are faithful to Scripture while being accessible and meaningful in different African contexts.
And we know that ultimately, the growth belongs to God. As Paul says, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth” (1 Corinthians 3:6). We plant. We water. We equip. We serve. But God gives the growth.
Our prayer is that Africa will increasingly become not only a recipient but a sender, raising and sending younger leaders, missionaries, ideas, and resources that will strengthen the global Church.
So as we launch the all-new Christianity Explored, we are looking to Jesus, trusting his Word, depending on his grace, and asking God to use this resource to help many people encounter Christ, discover their identity in him, understand his mission, and respond to his call.
Brace up for this is the best news you’ve ever heard.
